The French Internet provider Orange has offered the users the program locking illegal filesharing, however vulnerability in this system has opened computers of all subscribers for malefactors.
Past week provider Orange has offered the subscribers for 2 euros per month to install on the computer the program which will inspect illegal filesharing. The Windows application works in a background, receiving from a server of the provider special “black lists” which contents remain secret. With these lists the program compares that distributes and the user downloads.
Vulnerability in this system have detected almost at once. Having clarified ip-address to which the program accesses, experts have detected that to the given address there is a public server where works java-servlet and where all ip-addresses of users “are lighted”.
It was besides clarified that the management interface of system is accessible on a login “admin” with the similar password. According to some information, at desire the malefactor can update servlet and infect computers of users harmful ON.
