Viruses can infect for iPhone iPad

PandaLabs found that malicious software created for the iPhone, could also jeopardize the popular iPad.

Device companies Apple iPhone and iPad becoming increasingly popular, so it is not surprising that appeared malicious software designed specifically for them. Last year, PandaLabs has warned of the appearance of the worm iPhone / Eeeki, capable of infecting hacked iPhone (that is, those which have been illegally installed unlicensed software). This worm is also able to infect and iPod Touch.

Despite the fact that Apple has completely deprived the opportunity later to install programs (all applications are installed by the manufacturer in the App Store), cyber-criminals still found a way to distribute malicious software on the device company.

Any malicious software, designed for the iPhone, can also infect the iPad. This fact is explained by the fact that the iPhone and iPad contain the same operating system, known as the iPhone (v3), or iOS (v4) in the new version.

Jeremy Matthews, Technical Director of PandaLabs, said: “This does not mean that we have a roof caved in infections. Nevertheless, it seems logical that the larger the market share is Apple, the more interesting for cyber-fraud unit of the company. And with each passing day we become more convinced of this. We therefore advise all Mac users follow the manufacturer’s instructions and protect the security of its OS.
